Great CD's for a long rainy work day: Counting Crows "Recovering the Satellites"
Paul Simon "Live in Central Park" *Especially "Cool Cool Water" which creepily sounds like it could have been written about recent events("anger, and no one can heal it, slides through a metal detector"; "I believe in the future, we shall suffer no more"), followed by a great uplifting gospel version of "Bridge Over Troubled Water"
If you need something a little harder, try Soul Assylum "Candy From a Stranger"

My kids got me a few new CD's for b-day last week so I've been shutting the door on my office at work and cranking the puter. New System of a Down and the Ozzfest 2001 CD (lots of kick'n bands on that one) They (my kids) thought it was so cool because that's the first concert (Ozzfest) they ever went to (7-10 yr olds) The people I work with ... well ... that's why I shut the door.

Well, I'm breaking one of the office rules right now regarding internet use, but since it's the day before Thanksgiving and half the company has lit out for the day I think I can get away with it...
I have the Windows media player tuned to Radio Free Vigin and I'm streaming the "X-Groove" channel over the T1 connection. It's a constant stream of techno/dance/trance music, some really good stuff that I've never heard before. We're not supposed to stream music or video cause it all goes through the company's server in Minnesota and bogs everything down. So far so good.
