john the only 3 ways you can get the book
1. buy a version of coreldraw. 2. call the corel company and ask to buy a book....but their gona want a registration number....3. borrow the book from the place that burnt you the cd and make copies of the pages you need.

Just curious as to why you need the "font" book???
In ver. 8 if you type in a word and then click on the box beside the font name displayed, you get a drop down of alll the fonts and what you type will look like in that font. Is this different in ver.9 ??????
I would want the book more for the clip art but ther is a program out there and I lost it when my hard drive died that will search for corels clip art faster and better than you can look it up, I know Dave grundy knows the program, Don Hulsey and I were talking about it just the other day and at the time it didn't dawn on me I lost it with my old hard drive. I guess too many pain pills, but I can't think of the name of it at the moment.
Someojne will chime in with the name, it is a free program for Corel.

Another way to get a hard copy of the fonts to view is by using the program that came with CD9, Bitstream Font Navigator. it is an awesome program because it will catalog and print any collection of fonts that you have. I have a large collection of downloaded fonts, several cds of fonts as well as a few fonts that I created myself. I can drop a cd in and Font Navigator can print out the complete set of characters as well manage loading and unloading fonts onto your system. Definately worth checking out.

not to trivuilize your questions....but if you loaded corel..when you open the desktop for the 1st time it wants to help you learn corel...also when your sitting there lookin at a blank desktop, the last word in the tool bar is HELP....open it and go to find type in a single word like FONTS, and it will give you a list to look at...make a choice in that list and then open display...this will really help you....we all had to read this stuff to learn most of what we know......the newer version have a complete tutorial compared to corel 3 or 4..for those you had to buy extra books.....
