The Bosses wife is donating a skateboard for a charity auction tomorrow and she would like to add some graphics to the skateboard to jazz it up a bit. As I am too old to know what is cool and what isn't, I would love to have some help on this.
The Boss was supposed to ask me about a week ago to look into this, but he forgot. If anyone has any vector art that would be suitable for youth at a charitable organization I would appreciate the help.
Thanks in advance for any help that you can offer or send to me.

Anything kinda "edgy" will fly with the skatin' crowd..
skulls, evil clowns, flames, tribals, scallops, devils, demons, dragons, monsters etc... basically all the same stuff that was popular years ago is still hanging in there.
Take a look through my site, I have some striping and flames posted there.

yeah, flame it, dewd. (paint, not vinyl.. the vinyl wont last more than a couple of days on the bottom of a skateboard... or, at least not once spring comes to Calgary). be sure to put the graphics on the BOTTOM of the board.

Another thing to try, paint the board red, then hand cut flames out of grip tape (black) and lay them on the fresh red board. On the bottom paint the same scheme with enamels.

This reminds me of the Harley Davidson saying, if you have to ask, you'll never understand.
Skateboard graphics are as specialized as are automobile graphics which takes a certain kind of person. You don't see some suit leaning over a gas tank with a brush in his hand, asking some biker what he wants, do ya?

Yep, Joey's definitely got a point there, it's a good thing he's got enough hair left to cover it up <ducking>.
Below are a couple pics of a plexi sign face I did for a skate shop in Lake Havasu Arizona (where I live), right before I left for my "working vacation" in St Louis.
The face was customer artwork, her son drew it and had it done as a tat' on his arm. She liked it enough that she wanted to use it on her punk/skate shop sign too (kewl mom, huh?)
That lettering is some ransom note font which is popular amongst the skate/punk crowd, as is simple black and white artwork.
Thanks to that sign, I was also contacted by a skate park owner in my town who wants me to cut decals and put some large graphics on their ramps. She also referred me to a website that has some really cool skate stuff on it..
