I know this has been covered before, but I'm looking for software that will catalogue thumbnails of image files, convert file formats, do slide shows etc. All suggestions appreciated. Currently I use "Thumbs Plus" but recent upgrades run too slow.

Gday Gray, I went through this process about 12 months ago and after trying a few demo's I settled on ACDSee for image files (The newer 32 bit download has some annoying pop up reminders so I went backwards a version) And CadThumb for vector files, it's handy because you can right click files in Windows Explorer and get a thumbnail of a vector file and I havent found another program that will do this. If its any help I have installation files for both programs on disk here, they're only relatively small so I can email them if you'd like. Both are shareware. I'd be interested to hear what you settle on because if there is a program that is a cross between the two I'd jump at it. Enjoy, David

Thanks all, I've actually been thinking of buying Corel 7 select, I've not been a Corel user since vs3 and when SignLab went to Windows and became the best sign software in the world!! Does Corel 7 have the image viewer mentioned here? If not, I'll have a look at ACDSee, I had it some years ago before changing to Thumbs Plus.

Gray, I've got Corel 7 here and I can't see that viewer mentioned anywhere either in the standard installation or the setup disk. Still looking though. David

Corel Version 7 has 'Corel Multimedia Manager' on the CD, it does not automatically install with the rest of the programs. Run Corel setup and choose it from the list. Pretty good all-around thumbnail veiwer.
