Hi Heads! I was in my shop last Thursday morning, all skuzzy, wearin' my cat-eye glasses, & somebody opened the door. First I think "Oh crap, it's the creep from up the street!" Then, it registers in my miniscule brain that it is MIKE MEYER in the flesh, lookin' dapper as Dan. You could've knocked me over with a #4 quill, and that's no lie. He was on his way back to MN from jobs on the East Coast, and decided to pop in for a look-see. So I took him to Mars- I think he liked it. He took photos to line up projects for next August. I showed him where the hotels are, and a few local curiosities. I introduced him to one of the Chamber of Commerce folks, who was very impressed that Mike came out as a good-will embassador. This shows Mars that us Letterheads mean business! All was well till I took Mike to Willees Tavern for a fish sandwich. (This place is depicted as "Uncle Willees' Snake Pit" or some such in the movie Kingpin, filmed in Mars) He ordered pierogies, just to see if they were as great as everybody sez. We had a waitress who was like the Wicked Witch of the West's little sister. She forgot his pierogies, and when questioned, said we never ordered 'em in the first place. Oh, well. He didn't really like them anyway- he's probably still rifting them up... I'm sorry I've been away for so long. I've been really busy doing work for the Butler County Historical Society, in between being a Hag at our local Haunted House. Just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to Mike- what a treat, great seeing you, old pal. Love- JILL
