Anyone plan to attend? Past few years I have been disapointed, seems to get smaller every year.
I hear the big show in Columbus Ohio they keep jacking the both prices up. Wondering if that was true there, just about only go to see friends anymore.

Graphtec will be there.....I've never been able to figure out why anyone would want to hit Atlantic City in the winter(or any other time either, for that matter), but the USSC show is easily our # 1 show. hk

Cape Craft Signs will be there. We have decided to make a final decision this year on a router system. We'll be there all day Saturday from morning till they kick us out. I'll be taking my usual $5 to waste in slot machines and twenty times that for food. I'm so sorry I missed BB King last year. I didn't have the money to see the show so I stood outside the door at Ceasers and listened. Luckily, I'm easily amused.

Bill Riedel Jr. and Sr. make it an annual trip I hang out at the bull pen and my son does the tour of booths. He is running the shop so everything new is his thing. My pleasure is seeing all the friends in the bull pen. One day covers it all for us.

I'll be there with the usual "Dog and Pony Show" that I do on Layout and Design. This year they have added some computer design classes where three of us design a sign from scratch using the computer and a large projection screen. It should be fun. The Bullpen will be a great place to just hang out. And I will try my luck on the .05 slots again...it takes a lot longer to loose your money.

Al, Got your email. I'm wanting to go. I've chatted with Harris and we're still in the deciding stage for which day we want to go. I'm thinking Friday for the auction, but Saturday would be ok too.

I will be there. It looks like for all (3) days if I can get into Mr. Chapmans design class. If I am not wandering around the booths, I will be hanging out in the Bullpen.

I'll be there! I look forward to the only $5 blackjack table in town after 8 p.m. - come see me and I'll tell you how to find it.
Seriously, we're in booth 716 this year. AC is always my favorite show and I think this year will be no exception. The auction is a great event!

Well, seeing as Bill Reidel was such a nice gentleman and saw to it that I won a nice door prize this weekend, I will definitely be attending the bash at the beach, in Atfrantic City, NJ. I dont know excatly which day or days I will be there yet, but I plan to spend some time with the bulls in the pen, and I plan to sit in on a few seminars to see if they can teach this middle aged dog new tricks. and of course pick up whatever goodies and propaganda the vendors have to offer.

Yep, Summa's going to AC ... we'll be in booth 1331. I'll be in the booth when not at lunch, in a meeting, or putting the kid's college money into the slots.
HK, there's a pretty good beer joint on the Steel Pier ... 1st round's on me.
Regards,
Jim

I remember Atlantic City... When it was a place ordinary folks went to enjoy themselves on the beach and justly famous boardwalk, (even in December), long before casinos were even a figment of anyone's wildest imagination. I met my wife just north of there in Avon, the New Newark Hotel, at a shipwreck party, 38 years or so ago.
But what I remember most was turning off the Garden State Parkway exit at Pomona and hearing on the radio that the Ohio National Guard had shot and killed four OSU students in a demonstration.
Amazing how some moments are set forever in time and place. hk

Yes indeed, DC2 and DuraSign will be there and running. As to a cash and carry discount, I'll have to leave that up to Drew, our sales manager (drewg@summadirect.com). But, if you do buy, I'll be able to pick up the second round when Howard and I head down the pier for beers -- and I hope you'll join us, whether or not you leave with a DC2 in your trunk. It should be fun watching Howard and me go at it after we've got a couple of beers in us ... not that that hasn't already happened here
See ya in about 4 weeks,
Jim

Hey, this is the best show in the country. Great people, vendors, and lots of new stuff to buy.Stop by "Mr. J's" Xcaliber booth #640 and say hello to me and my family. Also, the "Bull Pen" is the most fun you'll have without getting arrested. This is the place to "re-charge" your batteries.

Mr. J is right, its a great time. I'll probably make my annual pilgrimage down on Thursday. It's great to work around others in the bull pen (especially when you work alone all year!) and see some of the new computer toys - I need to have both!

Cher, The Bull Pen is a seperate area on the trade show floor where a Letter head meet is held. Everyone who attends the show can enter the area to look around, ask questions, give it a try and then they leave and go shopping for a program or a machine to buy so they can do it too! But, this is a well balanced presentation, with most of the hand mediums represented. The heads that attend (at their own cost....it's a meet!) are Top Dogs and willing to share. Howie Nisgor and Alan Johnson keep the show going. Aside from the regulars, this is where the presenters who do the workshops and siminars as well as the heads who are there to rep a business or product hang out, which really ads to the talent pool! If you can get there, it's $10 at the door for three days at a top meet. The only bummmmmer is that they throw you out at 9 or 6 or 5pm. Oh well, more time to party. SEE YOU THERE Makin Chips, Joe
