I went to see a client yesterday about an MDO sign yesterday. He already had a sign, and it wasn't getting him any results (bad layout). Anyway, he proceeded to tell me how it came about that he acquired the sign.
It turns out that he had talked to another signmaker about the sign, and got some ideas and prices from him. The guy called him back a few days later, saying, "Hey, your sign is ready." My client reminded him that he had not ordered any signs from him, and had only discussed the signs. The signmaker asked him to " at least come down and look at it."
So he goes down and looks at it, and feels bad since the guy 'spend all this time on it', and buys it. Man, some people have some really rotten ways to sell signs around here.

Was this other sign shop an ex-used car salesman? Sure sounds like the pressure you get from those guys. I swear I can see the guy wearing a plaid sportscoat from the 70's too.
