I have noticed a lot of posts with photos that a 15" monitor has to side scroll to view (some a lot), and more importantly to read the story that goes with the photos. It's kind of like trying to read a sign with one half on the front, and one half on the back...
Attempting to correct this problem; If you will resize your photo (you can also do this with resample in Corel Paint) in your photo editing program at 100%, the photo should be about the size of a 35 mm. photo or slightly larger, you will "keep the ball in bounds". You can test or physically measure them to see what would work optimally. I just feel it makes better layout for layout minded people. Resampling to around 135K gives a good photo and helps keep the load time down also. Bronzeo
P.S..., The new IE6 resizes them for you, in regular browsing, but I doubt if the BB's will be programed to do it for a while.

When sizing pics for viewing on the web inches and dpi are basically useless terms.
In any photo editing program, when you resize use pixel values. (1x1 @300 dpi is same on screen as 2x2 @150 dpi etc.)
400-600 PIXELS wide is a good (fairly big)size for most resolutions

Thanks Jack and Mark. I started a web site and was having problems with the photos. But with your suggestions everything is okay now.

Yes Robert, Your recent posts were quite cropped at any given time. I have 17" monitor at 600x800 resolution, and though I checked out all your work (extremely nice work by the way), it was difficult to appreciate, I would consider going back & resizing them. (at least once you ftp smaller files to server, you shouldn't have to edit any of your posts)

My recent posts were 540 pixels wide at 72 dpi, was this too big for anybody?
