not to make lite of the anthrax thing...but we as painters have these little bags of "white powder" in our paint kits.....would be a good idea to put the powder back into the baby powder can. at least if your travlin... and make sure people where your workin at know what your doing once the white cloud starts when you pounce.

Good point, but when i saw the topic< I thought maybe you were fixin to describe an anthrax epidemic. (I am so relieved!)
S'anyway...I've always used the blue chalk.
I have a buddy in the biz who lettered some metal blanks for a guy and had to take them to him still slightly tacky.
He had a trick for this dilemna, sprinkling baby powder on the letters and laying (ever so gently) a sheet of paper over them so he could stack them and go.
Well, long story short, he's standin there with the guy and presents the signs, taking the paper off, the guy loves the work he did and asks him to hold it up so he can back up and take another look.
My buddy lifts it up and the letters fell to the ground, in a red powder...leaving the sign, spotless...white.
We still laugh about that everytime we hear "baby powder!"
I'm through now...hehehe!
Oh, that does make me think about leaving my chalk bag home when I go play pool though!

Changing topic-A little. My daughter had a big horse that hurt itself. Whenever this happens, we grind up the big horse bills in a coffee grinder and then feed it to the horse in its grain. Well her horse was somewhere else, so she had all these pills ground up and put them in a plastic bag to take to the stable. Well you guessed it, she got pulled over and the plastic bag was on the seat next to her. I think she convinced the cop that it really was a horse anti-inflamitory medicine when tried to get him to taste it and was snickering.

18 yrs ago when going thru customs into new zealand devo's toolbox was searched and held captive (along wih everything else we owned) for a long time while we fought the red tape. then came the day we had to sign for all of our stuff to get it released and the customs officer who by this time 'really' didnt like us very much come up with this plastic bag of white powder (chalk of course) and you could almost hear the champaign corks going off in his head... wow he though he had finally found a way to put devo behind bars, what didnt help of course was that my smart *ss mate says to mr customs officer.. 'hey if you find anything good in that lot we'll go halfs ok' sheesh! so yup they pulled their guns on us... again, while sumone went to the lab they were very, very unhappy when they found that the loverly white powder was just as we had said it was, chalk! hehehe
