i just needed some maroon background for yellow letters(florida state colors)and corplast dont come in maroon.
so i bought some yellow(didnt want the paint lookin more pink as it would on white)corplast and dug thru my stash of automotive paint. got all the leftovers from a buick dealership body shop, must be 4 cardboard boxes full. any way found some acylic lacquer bugandy, stired it strained it and added some reducer(lacquer is like 150% reducable)not to have "draper" problems(hehehehe)...i lightly sanded with 360 paper, wiped with thinner then wiped again. got out the old STEWERT-WARNER spray gun(this one is old havent made spray equipment for 30 years i think)and shot the panels...come out great....better then tryin to cover em with a sheet of vinyl.

Joe,

I'm so happy you had a meaningful experience with coroplast. I hate that stuff, do you hear me? I HATE IT. My vinyl hates it too. Every time I put the red or blue roll on the cutter, they cry "Please don't put me on another one of those patriotic yard signs."

It's just nice to hear that someone has made a "purty" sign on it. You da man!

Hey Kathy - - it's not the substrate that matters - - - it's the deSIGN thats onit. Have made some beautiful signs on coroplast (okay - maybe i didn't git enuff for 'em); have made some dogs on Omegaboard - - - loved your yrs. in the business post - how many years are we up to now?

still learn'n & having fun - Carl

P.S. Old Paint - - I admire your good use of materials on hand - - -hey; maybe that would make a good topic? "Using materials on hand while maximizing profits" or some such heading - - -C
