This has been one I would like to forget, My wife had a heart Attack in the spring, My Younger Brother died after a heart transplant, Business went south while we were visiting him before his death, then the Sept 11 thing, and my birthday was on the 12th,(no celebrating there) 62, I did start Drawing my Social Security though, this month. But Intrest rates are down, and I think I may add on to my shop. Maybe even buy a pt cruiser, LOL Bill (don't forget, you asked) LOL

Well, it was hot, but I stayed pretty busy, and enjoyed the time I got to spend with my 10 year old son. Just moved into a new house, and looking forward to next summer. (I hate winter)

After an awful start to the year, business-wise, summer rocked! Fall has not slowed down (yet). Personally, I continue to discover that so many things are not as they seem. That's life. It's hard to tell if 9/11 affected my business; no one cancelled any pending orders, and there's no way of knowing what might have been.

The summer was good ... seemed to fly by. Summers are usually way too long in Florida because of the unbearable heat. Fall is in the air right now ... and I welcome it.
We did alittle bit of alotta things this past summer. Boating, swimming, yardwork, and abit of grilling out. Dave and I have been working on my new website, and it's getting close to completion. Work has been steady ... in a bit of a lull right now, but have a couple big jobs to get out.
It seemed like we were always celebrating something this summer. 5 important birthdays, and a major anniversary in the space of 3 months.
Since the weather has cooled a tad, we've been putting in some miles on our bike each weekend. Working up to a long bike ride planned for November ... a charity ride for Diabetes.
I did a partial trade of signwork, for some yoga classes. That's been interesting, and quite beneficial so far.
Going to Vegas the end of this month. My first time! Viva LasVegas!
Keeping busy, focusing on the important stuff, and appreciating every moment.

Summers are always great. Guess it goes back to when I was a kid and it school. I've always looked at it as summer vacation.
When my boys were young it was such a releif to not have to say, "get your homework, get your bath now, go to bed at a certain time, you must have a good breakfast. No we can't do that because you have a game, or practice, or a meeting." Summer was a time to enjoy one another and do what we pleased. No schedules to keep. You got to be a friend instead of "the warden" as they called me.
Now with the grand-daughters it is the same. We get to do things together that are not possible during school months. Lots of time for the Louisiana 3 "F"s food, family and friends. Even when bad things happen in the summer, you've got more time to deal with it.
Summer is over, darn it! Oh well, any day you wake up is great at this age.
