Hi everybody,

I just wanted to give you a heads up on the 2nd annual swampland panel jam at Joey Hutsons beautiful shop in Monroe LA. the dates will be January 11-12-13. His phone number is, 318-325-2866, and his address is, 1239 Redcut loop rd. west Monroe, LA 71292. I believe the cost will be under $75. this includes meals, paints and panels and door prizes ( If you can get to them before RT does! ). Joey did a great job last year, that being his 1st meet he ever held. we had an awesome time and afterwards we bopped on down to New Orleans to sample some of the fine cajun cuisine as well as jazz! let me tell you if you want to get together with some prety tallented people, have fun, create some awesome pieces of work and just experience some SUTHEN' hospitality , you need to get to this meet! to see some photo's from last years meet just check out the past meets site on the home letterhead home page. so I hope to see you there! and remember, when you get there remember this saying.. LAISEZ LE BON TEMPS ROULE!! " Let the good times roll! " I will post more info here in a day or two. Mike

Hey Monte...
Just watch out for George with the stock car lettering. He likes to forget to put ALL the letters in the words. (I have pictures, remember George?)

Well Monte, I may do it. I feel much more inclined to teach some hand painted stuff though. I kind of am a little unorthodoxed (spelling?) with my airbrush work. I will be showing how I do the realistic fire again. Joey has told me that he has all the colors tha I use now! hahaha last years demo was a little light on the color. this year you'll see how its supposed to look like. what kind of stuff did you have in mind? you did pretty darn good with the feather class! hahahaha. Mike

Mike...I am in the process of restructuring my business. Pat and I are building a new shop and we are setting it up to do more vehicle graphics...truck and fleet lettering. I would like to include some custom graphics, pinstriping and hand lettering and get back to basics.

I used to do a lot of what I am talking about, but got clear of it somehow.Since the city I'm in is becoming more and more of a pain in the ass with permits and restrictions it is definetly the way to go.... frankly I am thanking them for giving me the opportunity to get back to what I love.

Any and all info I can pick up on air brushing from you Artee and Joey will be much appreciated.

People don't realize how much I learn just by watching, so they never really know how much they are teaching me...I am one of those people that can watch and watch and not really practice then one day when it becomes a necessity I just do it...don't ask me how or why, I've always been that way...and I suspect you are too!

You can bet I'll be there, but don't let that scare you away. Maybe I won't be so sick this time and will actually get to spend less time at the jam than at the hospital! (You had to be there, but no, I don't have anything that catchin'!) See ya'll at Joey's, and let me mention that myself and Ron Myers are hosting the Flying Eye Revival and Slime fest the last weekend of this month here in Tulsa. We'll be posting an official reminder in a few days.
