I have a disk of wedding photos here... LOTS of photos.
Used to be that I could use explorer, single click and get a preview. Now I can't (I don't know if that was a WindowsME thing - now we are back to 98).
Earlier today I was double clicking on the file and it would open in an internet explorer window. Then all of a sudden, it's just a blank window and says it's done. I deleted all the temp internet files, didn't help. I tried shift, right click on the file, open with... but can't find anything else that will open it for default.
Considering I don't have a clue, and this is Bruce's computer and he will find out about it when he reads this (um... HI HONEY!!) anyone got any suggestions?!?

Hiya Dana, If you're already familiar with Adobe's Products, try Adobe Activeshare. It's a free program that allows you to " organize, enhance, and share your digital photos". I've forgoten all about it until now. I've played with it a little and it seem to be what you may be looking for. Havin' fun, Checkers I forgot to include the link... http://www.adobe.com:80/products/activeshare/main.html

Thanks. I used to have ACDSee back before I moved. I liked that.
I just wish I knew what happened to viewing it in internet explorer. I wish there was a way to pop in a cd and check out the pics without having to load each individual one into a program (I have PhotoMax Pro). Takes SOOO long when you have a couple hundred photos.
Does anyone know anyway to preview them, like you do when you are checking out clipart?

I beleive it is an association issue..."open program with"...when that is asked..it usually offsets other programs for veiwing...you might want to try that!

Hi Dana, I use Ixla Explorer, a program I found at Comp USA. It's not only a viewer, but also a handy file converter. I think it was $29. By the way, have you seen the Falls yet?

Si sent me a copy of the program Dave was talking about... LOVE IT!! I like that you can put the cd in, and then view each photo one after the other by hitting the space bar. Works great.
Now I just have to find one that removes red eyes from people and gold ones from pets!
PS... OOOPS!! Signed up as Bruce instead of me... Hmmmm... suppose I could start anything? Naw... he does well on his own !! -Dana

Dana, I believe when you are using explorer to look at files, if you check "as web page" under the settings in the View menu, you will see a small thumbnail of the picture file you click on.
