Hi all,
I was wondering where everyone buys there Blades from.I get mine From Kaiser Tool Company out of Indiana. Does anyone know of a supplier in the NY area? And awhile back I saw adds on here where someone sharpens them for 4 bucks each. Does anyone do that or should I say is it worth doing? If so does anyone have a phone number/Addy where I can send some to.
Thanks.

I had some blades sharpened for my plotter, and I was disappointed.

I have a Summa T-1300 with tagential head, and it uses a small "roller" that keeps the blade pointing in the right direction. When I got them back, they looked nice and sharp, but they had to take a little too much of the blade off when they sharpened it, so now it won't extend out past the roller, so it won't cut.

Perhaps your blades might work better, but if your blades extend through someting ( or past something ) to cut, it may not work.

I have a customer that ColdFire's my blades. Instead of lasting 2 months, they now last 3.5 to 4 mos. I have been trying to get him to come to the board as a vendor. He has started carrying blades for most of all machines. Go to http://www.coldfiremichigan.com

My prod. manager plays electric guitar in a band and swears by ColdFire'd guitar strings.

ps.Prices are about the same or better.

Steve, Check the link. I went to the page last night and copied/pasted it right from the URL. I tried the link this morning and it did take me to a web design. I then retyped it in the address box and it took me right to ColdFire Michigan's web site. Here is the phone # for those interested. I swear by this process. Ask for Scott or Julie 1-877-816-2294

I am using a Roland Camm-1, and have been getting my blades sharpened by some guy who has an ad in the back of signcraft, i think it is. $3.5 or $4 a pop, minimum of 4, he pays return shippnig. Works excellent in my experience.

Just sent my blades off to be sharpened again.
Tim Peterson of Daytona Beach, FL does an excellent job with a fast turnaround. He has done my blades for over 5 years now.
