My sister and her boyfriend were in town this past weekend to visit.. They wanted to see how I work.. how a design goes from brain, to computer, to finished project.. so here's a little something I cranked out for them to see..

And After

Mike,

That is pretty cool. What process did you use to get the effects? Is this a digital print, or is it airbrushed?

Kooky, sure I can make some flames for ya. I already said I ain't sending you a laptop..

Mark, first I wrapped the latop with white vinyl, which turned out to be really easy because the fine texture in the plastic case let the air escape easily.

Then I cut the flames in red, airbrushed the effects onto the vinyl (using waterbased paint) and applied the flames over the white.

I've actually already peeled all the vinyl off the machine cause I've had some other ideas I want to run with.

Flames seem to be making a comeback.. I've seen the flame motif on shoes, sheets, school supplies... all over.
I thought it would be a good idea to buy white (or light colored) pillow cases, and airbrush flames on to them. Makes a GREAT Christmas present!
