I am trying to print onto laser stock for a business card layout...on both sides and I am having one heck of a time figuring out how.

After choosing the template, I went in and created the front of the card...then went to a second page to create the back....and as I would normally do...went to page preveiw to look at it.and it does not want to pick up the front page and print it 10 times...then print the back as well from the second page art created....

I do have duplex printing capabilities and was trying to do it just as I would a document but it refuses to work the same way.

I hope that makes sense!

I would really appreciate any assistance one could give!!!

Hi RB:

Two ways to go:

1: After typing 10 in the copies box (in Print Options) make sure Collate is not selected. Then 10 copies of page 1 will print, followed by 10 copies of page 2. If you choose your manual feed, and only put 10 pages in it, then you can flip the stack and continue.

2: In print options choose page 1 only. Print ten copies. Then flip your paper, and print again, choosing page 2 only.

Regards,

Jim

JIm...
I appreciate the info.......but

I hate to run copies throught the printer after they have been printed on...and I do have the ability to print both sides at one time...that is where I am having a tough time in getting it set up right.

I can normally set an 8.5 11 page for layout ...make any number of pages in my file during development...take them to the printer and have it print both sides at one time..

The demise is setting up to do the label...it doe s not want to print both sides for the cards...of course using the template format...I knoe I could go in and just do a multi copy on an 8.5 x 11 page and do the same for the back but it never seems to register right.

I hope that made my problem a little clearer

I think your only way around this is to make your own template on one page for the front and make page two the back.

I make a rectangle the size of a business card and I put everything in the rectangle after the card is designed I remove the outline color from the rectangle that I used as a guide and if needed I remove the fill also. I then group the rectangle that is hidden and the designed card and I place the card in it place on the 8.5x11 sheet. I then make copies or clones of the first one till I have all 10 or 12 cards in place.
I just place on my guidelines exactly where I need them on the page I also use snap to guidelines to help me line up the cards.

You said your printer is capable of printing two sided all in one pass, what kind of printer do you have?

Hey Robert,
Why not scan in a page of your perforated card stock. Then using the guidelines in corel make a template. Save the template for future use and work from that.
Maybe??

A fine newsgroup who'll answer Qs like this. More and more, they're getting Qs that are well-answered in this BB.
