Is it possible to remove or conceal scratches on polished brass laminate with an aluminum backing? I'm thinking that polishing it down might wear through to the aluminum backer?!?! Maybe recover it with foil-style vinyl? Clearcoating???? Any off the wall ideas.

Marty, You might use pumice on it to get the scratch off then use a clear with a fine sable brush to touch up, or bees wax if you don't have to apply vinyl to it. Bill
