Hello Fellow Letterheads! I was booked on a flight to Birmingham Alabama for Duck SOup and it took an act of Terrorism to keep me away (Airlines that is) anyway, I got an Airline Free Companion Pass I need to use up by November 22nd. Soooooo...I ain't never been to Frisco' before and I've asked by buddy Scotty "Boom Boom" Bouma to go with me..(I'll be the Leather clad Biker and he'll be the Indian with Head Dress...Kidding...we're straight) I was wondering if any of you Cali-four-ny-yeah Letterheads would mind if a coupla Midwesterner's stopped by and maybe spent a night and see the sites? We're looking at Nov. 1st thru the 8th. One stop we really would like to make is Rick Glauson's in Wilmington, also Possibly Alcatraz, Chinatown, Little Italy, Cable Cars, Karl Malden, and maybe a Niners game or at least visit Pac. Bell Park. Give me your feed back and let me know if you could hook up with us. My Email is not functioning, so either respond here, or call me. How bout the Anaheim Mighty Ducks? Will they have a home game during that time? Or the Kings or the Sharks? Hockey baby HOCKEY!!
Let me hear ya!

Mike, Not sure how you will be getting around once you get to CA. but you could eat a week up in Frisco in no time, from all the things you mention. If you plan to visit Rick Glawson, he's on the southern part of the state, if your driving you can drive thru Fresno (located in the middle of the state) about 3.5 hrs from SF, make a pit stop on your way to LA another 3.5 hrs. I have an extra room you and your partner can crash out at if you need. Welcome to California, have a safe flight...

Sounds good so far Cisco and Raincat......gimme a brush, we'll knock those windows out! We'll be renting a car.(Preferably Studebaker) and yeah I realize that Rick is further South but that's part of the fun of taking a trip! I would like to see my Minnesota friend ..Rich Stebbing in Rohnert Park as well. I see the Motor City Kitty's will clash with the Niners that weekend, maybe Scott will want to see that or just do some Mushrooms on Haight Ashbury..it's a toss up. Keep those California ideas a comin'! It's 6am and I'm about to go fur my mornin' jog and it's a cool 35 degrees here! I love it..bring on the snow!

Mike, If'n you make it to Stebbing's, we're only two and a half hours from there and you're welcome to stay here on the redwood coast. Another idea would be to fly in to SF and travel around and fly out of LA. That might lighten the load some. Hey, can Stebbing still talk Minnesota?

You betcha,......but having lived in Chicago as well,...I talk "Minnesota" faster, but with a California "laid back style". Hey Mike, that first weekend Nov.3 & 4 I will be heading to Reno for a little R&R, and to visit a Sister-in law from South Dakota (of all places) who will be attending a conference there. I CAN and WILL schedule some time for Rich Stebbing Tours ( a Five Star Tour Co.) to escort you on some of finer "haunts" of San Francisco and the Bay Area. Perhaps a stop at the Grain Belt "West" Brewery, or the Old Dutch Plant(Pacific Division). Just tell me what and where and we'll see what we can do. Do you have your Tix already? If not try to avoid Rush Hour times as the can really test the bladder. And also be sure to bring some warmer clothing (ask Steve) as this is Northern Cal. I do have a sofa-bed (No Farting-Belching OK though if deep) in living room if that'll work. Anyway , keep me informed of the details, either by E-mail or by phone.C'ya sOOn.

hey Mike - I'm a tad bit out of the way, east of Sacramento, but if you want to see a bit of country & meet the Sac area Letterheads, I'd love to host another dinner here & an overnighter for ya. We're about 4 hours east of S.F. Lot's of Calif. history here, where gold was discovered in these thar hills. You can easily travel on down to Cisco's from here, maybe a 2 hour drive. I could get Stef the Moon, Crazy Jack Wills who'll Definetly come if'n I make Potato Salad, Dave Simpson, and a few others (Vic?)to come on up for an evening of swappin' stories. Give me a holler if you'd like to make a little side trip. Bomba-Dear Volcano, CA - not on any map, but close to Sutter Creek. Home of the Great Volcano Blast w/Steve & Barb 209-296-6868
