I pledge not to answer another OT post EVER. I'm ashamed of the hate that comes out of me and others when getting involved in this form of posting. From now on I'm going to stick to the Art of sign painting. Ranting on this BB has proven to be a waste of my time and everyone elses time. My sincere apologies to everyone. You are all to nice and way to giving for me to come and argue about things in which we have little to no control over. Back to buisness. Thanks for your time.

I think it would be a total loss if everyone were to think the same exact way, after all this is where I come to get my early morning smiles. Whether it be religion, politics or what have you, there will always be someone who disagrees. Heck, even in our trade there has to be a zillion different methods to accompolish just one project.
Look at it this way, here in Letterville we have a portfolio page but yet persons post their photos here on the bullboard for a faster response. Remember the photo of old whats his name with his hard-on and the responses to that type of art which was well recieved to our european counterparts but not to the Can/Am partially due to ones reply of putting children into our adult forum when in fact Letterville has a childrens forum. And so what if you are over 21, does this mean you are an adult?

Rob, I truly respect your decision. It is courteous and considering the long term relationships we can develop. It always entertains me to find how the more we build relationships on commonality, when the differences arise, they get smaller. Peaceful times to you and yours.

Hey Rob, Looks like your post is quickly becoming a OT. It can only go down hill from here....

I also respect your decision. But here's what I propose.
If you wish to state your opinion on an OT, just do it without pointing fingers, name calling, bantering back and forth and continuing to keep coming online to 'straighten' your meaning.
Trust me, the ridiculous posters will float to the top for all to see. If one is respectful in their statements, the bashers will get theirs. You won't have to be soley responsible to 'get them back.' It'll be done for ya.
Or try this.... post what you really want to say and delete it before hitting Add Reply. Ahhhhhh. It works! LOL!

Maybe I'm not getting enough animosity in my daily diet, but I really enjoy the rants and verbal sparring on the board. Don't y'all go getting soft on me now.

Hey Sonny Don't worry... I love to post my opinion on just about everything. And somehow.. I manage to do it without calling anyone names... How is that possible? Oh yeah.. I remember now... I usually have a pretty good argument for my IDEA, so it doesn't require that I attack a person.. only the idea. And Myra.. it's not fair to debate with unarmed people.. now.. quit that! LE

I wasn't going to post, either, but there are some valid points here that make a lot of sense to me. Yes, life is all about debate and controversy, problem solving and some of it involves ranting and raving. I see that OT are getting more hits than the sign issues at hand, a lot of the time, but that is because there are some hot-blooded humans under these brushes, pens, computers and keyboards! Long live debate and interaction with the human race, I say. It stimulates my blood. Have to agree with Sonny and others that debate is essential. I also agree with Edna here about the fact that we can debate without the "colorful attacks against the persona of the poster," if you get my drift. And there is always going to be the debate in the human race between control of a group and free run with no rules. It is the struggle of human nature. It's also about choosing the issues we post on this board: how many blows can exist on this board without losing our valuable compadres and our precious common thread? It is a personal and individual decision in the beginning, and the end, but in between it all, the whole group must be considered. I find it wise to constantly remember that I am only one of many, and I must always watch carefully that I not harm my neighbor in the process of making a point. And when I do post something that may be unpleasant to another, be assured that I most likely have discussed, debated, and challenged the issue in private first. I struggle with my posts not to use language that is offensive or attack the persona but I will not putdown all issues of someone because they let their issues out that bother them. For instance, Joey and CJ have so many valid points, they have been around the block a few times and are not passive in all measures, but, they have brought issues to the table that are necessary and relative to growth of our bb and our interests, such as posts that vary from day to day in our world. The bb is about our lives too! I remember some mudslinging going on quite a bit in the past, and Steve and Barb have a very difficult job and are receiving opinions on the way they handle the board too. I know for a fact they have put in a lot of work, it isn't as easy at it may seem. This is not meant to appear as "wishy washy" on my part. I am not trying to be everything to everybody, and I am not always the nice guy. I do not choose to walk the fence and also cannot avoid telling the truth when I am challenged over and over. What's my point in all my rambling? Well, when I post, I try to be civilized, and think that we can keep the hot issues on OT possibly and possibly they layer over to the regular posts, but either way, try to get the point across, changes made, views shared and be tolerant of each other. Be decent to each other, but don't go away! We need not lose, if we can negotiate. I truly see decency in a lot of folks that are considering leaving or have decided not to come onboard as often. It isn't like it used to be, and I miss their input too, because I, personally, have gained knowledge and insight from others that I would not have the opportunity to gain unless I were traveling around the world. And I don't have that opportunity to do that either. It is a melting pot here with many people offering and sharing knowledge that many of us will never attain in one lifetime! I am very much hoping that work things out in this respect. Any comments welcome! If I find something offensive, don't worry I will write you if I find the time.
