Attention Citizens of the United States
we must now choose
Fear Or Freedom
Well it looks as if we are going to let this tragic attack on our country, people & way of life take it's toll.
The greatest victory for these terrorists would be to break our hearts, our lives, most of all our freedom & watch us LIVE IN FEAR.
There are several types of fear we may find ourselves living with
1) Fear of losing lives
2) Fear of losing health
3) Fear of losing rights/travel
4) Fear of losing money/finances
I'd say unless we all take a good hard look at a few simple facts these terrorists may end up getting just what they wanted!
Please, let's be the STRONG NATION we think we are!!
There are many things we all can do to change the course that these terrorists have set for the citizens of our nation.
It's NOT too late for US. If we start NOW!
You must understand that fear itself is they're greatest weapon. They want us to react to this with fear!
Please think about the following:
We now more than ever must not cut back on our normal spending. I'm talking about personal not just Corporate America. We must spend money on product, vacations, homes, T.V.'s, stereos, computers, etc. We must travel because that is one of our biggest freedoms. Help ourselves keep a strong economy & not let them beat us!
When we buy products all of us benefit, circulating our economy, keeping jobs & doors open at Corporate America. This could kill the recession that threatens us today.
A recession is nothing more than people afraid to spend money, putting off purchases will cause even bigger problems in the U.S. & the world economy.
Don't be afraid to travel! We now have tighter security in airports as well as security right on the planes. Book the flights, if we don't it's going to show them we are afraid of them.
Our government will deal with these low life's. "We the people" are the ones, the only ones, who can fix this country today. We can not afford to let them win! If we keep ourselves at home & our money in the safe it let's them win! If we don't spend, our economic way of life will fail & that my friends is a big part of what makes us strong!!
We have to be brave & keep living like we always did (economically speaking) before September 11th, 2001. Recession is fear! End it now, buy into America, hurry before it's too late!
I write this to you as a concerned American. One who is proud of our country, the people & the way of life our folks fought to build. We all helped build it, now let's all invest some money & effort into keeping it!!

Thanks,
Roger Bailey
U.S. Citizen
Act now please forward this to everyone you know!

Roger,

I was thinking along the same line this morning. I had bought some desperately needed new clothes just before this happened. I just took them out of the bag this morning to see where they were made. My feeling is....we should buy American made goods when possible, and put an effort into learning which countries are backing us up right now and buy their goods also. Support those who are supporting us. None of the tags said Made In Afganistan, which is good. It sounds like they are not going to commit to helping us. Two items of clothes were made in Bahrain and some in Japan. I think it is worth the effort to show our strength in many ways. Keep our economy going, but make an effort to support our allies, and not our enemies.

I will admit that my first impulse was to bury my money in the backyard and sit on it. (My luck, the neighbor's dog would dig it up and run with it)But getting back to normalcy is what is important. Matter of fact, a recently divorce friend is flying to Vegas today with 3 other divorcees. She said the flight better not be cancelled or highjacked, or they are going to have to deal with 4 p****off divorcees bent on making it to Vegas. Go Girl!

Thanks for the post Roger.

Precicely the right attitude.

I was thinking of taking my son on a train ride to the zoo this weekend, but a fear of a train derailment or highjack or whatever entered my mind, but then I said screw those cowardly evil bastards, that's what they want.

We can all fight for our country, We may not all wear a uniform and carry a gun, but we are all targets to these people so we all have to fight.

Now lets see I need a new TV, a new Truck, a DVD player...........

I put in an offer on a house today! I am excited about that prospect, as it will be my first home if I get it.

I admit there is some fear in making a spending committment. Yes, if everyone gets back to spending & travelling that most likely will help me come up with my mortgage.

Like Roger, I live in Hawaii where not only is tourism far and away the primary industry, but virtually all of that arrives by air travel. Our Governor spoke today about right now being worst economic crisis in the State's history.

It's hard to say how much my sign business will be affected. I don't sell to tourists much, but many of my clients do, or their clients do.

NO FEAR!
SPEND & TRAVEL!

(maybe a Maui letterhead meet ? What the heck, make it a Trade show too!)

This letter that came to me expresses a point of view that appeals to me more than any other I've considered.

Folks,

Maybe it is time for us to send our aircraft over Afghanistan, in masse.
Carpet-bombing, if you will.

However, the payload I am suggesting is not conventional explosives, nor
nuclear arsenal. No, I think we can hit 'em with the biggest weapons of
persuasion America can muster up.

Food.

As you may know, the people of Afghanistan are already starving, with
food supplies running out, and winter just weeks away. Their once-proud
cities are already in ruins, and most citizens are already refugees. The
majority of Afghan people are said to oppose the Taliban, (wouldn't
you?), and Osama bin Laden as well. He is merely using Afghanistan and
her people to hide while he masterminds his evil. And the Taliban are no
picnic, either.

Desperately lacking for food and clothing and shelter, they are
powerless to resist the Taliban and bin Laden. So, why not enlist the
aid of a million peoples, who are the most familiar with the geography
of the land, and who would exalt at the chance to regain their destiny?

What say, maybe there is a way to rid the world of two oppressors at
once, help the Afghans regain their country, and curry a favorable world
opinion at the same time.

This would probably cost less than a war, and a whole lot less bloodshed
too.

What think, worth consideration? What is the next step to make this a
reality?

Lets send this letter around the world fast and get everyone to do their part.
The national media is helping here, but not "enough" in my opinion.
Please send it to EVERYONE you can think of !!

We may just be able to STOP the effects of this damn reccession all by ourselves, and let the military handle the bad guys !!

Thanks you guys !!! heres a toast to us all !!

If I may borrow a line form the song "Cover of the Rolling Stone"

THATS A VERY VERY GOOD IDEA!

Doug. My wife and I are set to buy a new home in December - the slowest month for me. We'll also be ready to redecorate, furnish and entertain as soon as we get the key. None of it will be put on credit though.

Shep. Did you hear? The top 3 automakers sales are down 20 percent. They are offerong no interest financing for 36 month loans to generate sales, so a new car is in the plans before the ink dries on the house contract. This will save us thousands.

And now a word on the Airlines. What the heck are you idiots doing with the money?

Like our personal finances and business forcasting you can't spend more than you make. I would hope that if anyone wasn't able to make a sign for 1 month, you would not have to claim bankruptcy.

The airlines are a multi-billion dollar industry. But the day war broke out on American soil, they all threw thier hands up and said - thats it- We're Ruined! PLease help us - we need 20 Billion Dollars - NOW!

What ? No cash reserves? What no emergency plan? No borrowing power? Nothing. So now what? Lay off thousands of workers to meet expenses? So who is going to do the actual work? And if you are able to keep going...why did you have so many on the payroll in the first place?

Im no FAA government beancounter, but something just doesn't seem right here.

Mr. Duncan, very good observation about the airlines !!

There is something deceptive in their statements
on "loosing billions", the actual truth may be that they're "usual sales" are down.
Where I come from thats called "gross sales" NOT
PROFIT !!!

They, like the oil companys and the utylities all cry the blues a lot stronger then need be !!

But thats how you pry some funds loose from UNCLE SAM !!!

Mike, good luck with the property and auto investment !!
I'm re-financing the house,re-building my 1928 roadster pick-up,planing a winter vacation to the mountains in Ca. and Or., just found a ring for the wife(shes been good), and in March the lease is up on the 4-runner, so a new one it shall be !

I think your "carpet bombing with food" idea is a winner!
From Vietnam on, wars are won in the hearts of the people. If the people think kindly about the USA, they are a lot less likely to want to help others hurt this country.

Looks like this is my daughter's last week at Northwest Airlines. I wonder when the Fed's money comes they will use it to defray the upcoming layoffs. Bloody unlikely. What do these companies do, live paycheck to paycheck?
She also told me that 300 airline flight attendants quit since the bombing.

LE, (like my son put it) you may look like a winner or "real humanitarian" in some of the peoples eyes.
But, do you REALLY think these terrorists are going to change they're m.o. ??
NO, I'm pretty sure they will still hate our guts, wish they could kill us all and take over our nation !!

Now LE, if you want to take all those great bleeding heart ideas over there and try and work out some sort of solution with these maniacs,
I will give you all the food, love, kisses you can transport !!
Just let me know when you plan on meeting with these guys, ok ??
