Last Saturday a five year old child with cerebal palsy fell into a dam on the Sunshine Coast and died. One of the neighbours whom I know well came in yesterday with a lovely little cross he had made and requested that I do some little angels on it along with the text. I could plainly see he was trying hard to hold back his tears as he told me of the battle the little guy had at birth and by all means he should not have survived. Well today I have spent all morning trying to weed these little angels and a teddy bear, and I know he will protest but there is no way in this wide world that anyone could charge for this work. I have felt a certain fuzzy feeling amongst the frustration as I completed the job.

Michael, I searched everywhere for the little angels and a teddy bear and as the cross had been routed along all the edges it gave me only 2" to work within. I eventually found what I wanted in Microsoft Publisher and did a cut & paste. I cleaned up a bit and completed the job in Signlab. (Still getting used to VMP). Arvil Shepherd has kindly offered me one of his prints which I will kindly accept and I am sure the child, Jack Simon's parents will love after all love makes the world go around even in cyberspace.
