Hi,
I'm not on Net. For some reason my Vectorart CD can't be read anymore. I need anyway a very comprehensive collection on CD. What Co. would it be?

Jerry,
I meant to reply this afternoon, when my browser crashed, then got sidetracked making signs for awhile, but seeing no replies yet to your post, here is my opinion:
Besides Rolands Vector Art which it sounds like you already are aware of, I reccommend "Click Art" by Broderbund. I bought a 300,000 pc collection with 20 Cd's at Office Max a few years ago. The images are all cataloged in 2 thick books, fairly well indexed, and it has paid for itself many times over. There are rastor files as well but easy to know which is which from the file name listed below each image in the catalog.

We distribute what I think is best quality vector clip art available. It's called BeeLine ArtProFile and there are 2 versions. Version 1.1 contains 17,000 quality ready-to-cut black and white ESP images and version 2.0 cotains 13,500 images. Each version retails for $495 Australian each. We have a special for both versions at $880 Australian.

For more information

It is also available in the US from Mad Dog graphix and there website is www.beeline-clipart.com

Good Day, Jerry...

Clipart is a bit like going to the bakery and asking what's the best sweet roll. It depends on what you are hungry for and how much change you have in your pocket.

BeeLine is a fine product as are the other packages that will get mentioned here. We have three or four clipart packages in our retail store, Bob Loves Signs, and it would be hard to get along without any one of them.

Anchorblanks offers Jack Wills' CD the Sign Shoppe Design Collection - 1600 pieces of vector ready art for just $79.95 plus shipping. Personally I think it is a fine disk and a real value for the price.

Check us out our website at www.anchorblanks.com

Also, Vector-Art's Designer collection, IMSI's Masterclips. Corels Gallery and Gallery Magic are good, too, but they might be harder to use in anything other than Corel. With the last two, I sometimes have to fool with them in Corel and send them over to Signlab with a different file extension. Sorry-- not a very scientific explanation.
One other thought- is this the only disc you are having trouble with, or is there maybe a problem with the CD drive?

Hi,
Thaanks for the tips everyone! Looking on the Roland site I see that in it's entirity Vectorart is pretty usefull. I signed up for their $1 an image deal and will get them off someones computer. I ought to be online, after all, I'm single. I checked out OCA clipart and wondered who did the selecting of their images. I see a lot of clipart, in general, that is worthless. I
don't use them that much anyway. I just had someone open up my classic Vectorart and it worked so it must be my drive. Gateway had me reinstall windows and it worked a week or so then started malfunctioning again. I've got Mitsumi's latest driver-as if it's different) to install.

Some times I find that the best of clip art comes from.(The hand that draws it.)

After the customer asks for the image and you put it to paper you have a scanning image to work with.

Always something to call your own or to copywright.
