It's a lot of work putting together an event. Thank you for hosting, Ron.
Saturday started out with fog, which burned off by mid morning to produce an absolutely perfect day for the meet. Ron opened up all of the doors to the chicken barn and it was nice inside and out.
Doc Guthrie was there with a group of students from his school in Los Angeles, I forget the name of the school.
On a personal level, it was fun meeting for the first time Letterhead regulars, especially Rick Sacks and Rich Stebbing. Jack Wills has been the invisible man for about a month, and it was good to get caught up on his travels. Visited with Adrienne about the Benicia project, and had the opportunity to see her paint roller technique.(Who needs brushes?) Also in the "never saw that before" category, Rick Sacks demonstrated a "wet look" painting technique that was very clever. I also saw glue chipping for the first time.
Stephanie "The Moon" was glued to a stool throughout, engrossed in brush lettering, tutored, I think, by Rich Bustamente from time to time.
There's much much more. Others can continue the story.
Thanks again, Ron. It was a wonderful day. Vic G

I had a great time! Gracious hosts and cordial crowd, with such variety of skill levels and interests.
I particularly enjoyed spending many hours intermittantly hanging out with Mike Languein learning some of the skills he's developed over the years in wood graining. Sure wish he had not been fighting a cold, so he could have enjoyed himself as much as I enjoyed him.
The enthusiasm from the LA Trade Tech kids was hot. There was carving going on and some striping and marble and graining and chipping and gilding and lots of panels and even some new folks staring at things asking how anyone could ever make a living with that stuff???
Thank you Ron, Kristi, and the girls and mom, for making so many folks happy collectively.
