He is lucky all he got was fired and deported, considering how quick tempered most Americans have been in the last couple of days

I nearly didn't read this post because it didn't seem right to poke fun at something so tragic. I guess I ran out of posts to read because I'm here. Sorry, I'm with Michael.

Thats OK Donna. I don't expect everyone to understand.
Let me just say that yes, what happened was tragic, but I wasn't poking fun at it. In times like this, its important to keep some sense of humor. We can wallow in our misery and grief and let people like Bin Laden succeed. Or, we can do something that they don't expect. We can pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and carry on - or even crack a smile. Laughter is a very powerful tool. It eases pain. It helps to bring things into focus.
While I've no idea of what the folks are going through in New York, I have been through my own share of disasters. And the one thing that helped me to make it through was humor.
When I found that website and saw the picture, the very first thing I thought of was Pierre. It just seemed to fit him.
I'm sorry if people like these terrorists were able to take away your sense of humor. They only embolden'd mine.

I just wanted to add.....(written to anyone reading)...
Go out and enjoy yourself. Play a game of Baseball. Spend some money. These are the things that they seek to disrupt. Its important that we try to get back to our normal routines as soon as possible and let them know they failed.

Glenn, You are so right about going out and enjoying ourselves. We went out last night and bought a DVD player and a bunch of DVD's. Then I sat down and watched Billy Elliot and bawled through the last ten minutes. Tomorrow, I'm going to scrounge up some money and go buy stocks because I'll be damned if those pricks are going to destroy our country.

Glenn, first of all.. (oh no, here it comes) cool pic and thanks for the laugh..
Second, do you actually work? Or do you spend the day seeking out online news articles relating to the current hot discussion? Seems you have an article for everything.
I too think it's time to get up, dust off and get back to life. What's done is done, crying and feeling sorry for ourselves isnt gonna reverse the damage or bring lives back.
I woke up Tuesday morning just in time to watch the second plane hit the tower on LIVE TV.. I watched the impact then had to get ready for an on-site vinyl application job.. no time for shock, there's stuff that's gotta be done, bills to pay and mouths to feed.
Talks are already underway to rebuild the WTC too, maybe even taller this time to show they cannot be discouraged. The engineering firm I work with on occassion nowadays helped on the original WTC towers so this time around I might get to help out!

Believe it or not, I work all the time. I put in about 70 hours this week. Eight hours just today.
I have several sources that I keep up with. My favorite one is www.drudgereport.com . He does the best job of finding news links and posts them on his site. The vast majority of the credit goes to him.

Two thoughts before I bail out of this one, and go back to work making flag decals:
The braggadocio so rampant on this board only makes for heros in their own minds, not in deeds. I don't think weight is the problem for rejecting the idea.
If Si Allen were so inclined, and the descriptions of him are accurate, he would become a World Hero to just do it all by himself. He could sit on them.

Obviously Myra doesn't like fat old men who still have the stomach to do what is necessary! Maybe she'd like me more if I was a whimpering Liberal!

(Don't read anything into this. I've been up since 4am and I'm exhausted from the number of hours I've put in in the last 10 days, not to mention the emotional roller coaster ride we've all been on since Tuesday)

calm down glenn, eat a cookie and drink a glass of milk. don't get that button nose of your's bent out of shape. hahahahahahaha
you don't have time to be posting on this bullboard, you need to go back to work and try to beat your record of 1.5 million dollars in gross sales last year. everyone knows you can debate anyone here under the table. this makes you a masterdebater!
I don't know what your problem is. And ya know what...I don't much care.
Steve has spoken about personal attacks. You just can't seem to stop.
Instead of wasting energy trying to pick a fight with me, why don't you do something useful. Go down to your local Red Cross and donate some blood or time. I'm sure someone would appreciate it.
