Just watched president Bush's latest Q & A from the press. It is so refreshing, (after the last 8 years),to actually belive what the White House is telling me. Make no mistake, this country is at war, right now. As most of you know, I didn't play soldier, I was one for 20 years, and I know what the bottom line is, and will be in the coming weeks.

I read alot of the OT post's, but(I think), I don't respond to many, because like alot of people have said- this is a painters BB, but this crap is above and beyond anything that anyone has ever seen in this country, so I'm putting in my .02.

I would much rather be part of the USAF today, getting the jets ready to go flatten some camels, than being a war-mongering civilian sign painter.

Today I am crying.

I cry because I empathize with the families as each of the heart wrenching stories come to light.

I cry with relief as I see a sight I was afraid we would never see again: unifying patriotism stirring again in the breast of this nation.

Most of all, I cry with MY PRESIDENT. Was I the only one that watched as his eyes moistened before the world as he pledged comfort and help to our people, and retalation to those responsible?

I am so thankful that we are not facing this with Al Gore, or Bill Clinton. We do not need some well worded, lip biting DIATRIBE.

We need what we are seeing now: a president who is TRULY "FEELING THE PAIN" of this nation, and who is dedicated to it's preservation.

There is no hidden agenda here. GW is about the business of being the people's president, and i cannot tell you the relief that brings to me.

The terrorists responsible cannot claim victory here, for their efforts are NOTHING. Sure our nose is bloodied and we do dearly grieve....but they failed in that this nation has been VULCANIZED in our resolve to persevere as a nation, to recover, and to retaliate.

They have, to their utter detriment, roused the sullen spirit of what makes us America. And in the shadow of that great spectacle their fate is truly sealed.

I did not believe that we remembered who we were...but now....now I have a little hope.

Of course, you're right, but I was mildly embarrassed by the posturing of all three of them. Just shut the hell up and go nail 'em, George!
