I watched live late last night (oz time) to the tragedy in the states. I am so very sad for all of the folk directly, and indirectly, effected by what i saw. My kid's first question this morning as they woke to the newscasts was 'were there any letterhead people in the area where the explosions happened'? It doesn't matter, it's enough that there was people where the explosions happened! Our thoughts are with you all.

I have been listening to the radio all day and people are ringing up and crying. I am finding it harder to come to terms with the complexity of it all. To our american friends our thoughts and prayers really are with you all. Revenge is a terrible sounding ugly word but it keeps coming into my mind. Whatever the States have to do must not be condemned by the rest of the world.

I cannot speak for anyone but myself - but I suspect all would join me in thanking you for your best wishes and prayers. It is deeply appreciated and very comforting to know that almost the entire world shares in our grief - and condemnation of these heinous acts against MAN - not the U.S.
We pay a dear price for freedom sometimes - and for being a powerful nation. But since nations are made up of human beings, it is understandable why you feel compassion and sympathy. It hopefully will be a better world from here on in - once we realize that we all share something in common. A desire for peace among all nations.
Peace.
