Having a lot of family on the East Coast, I came up with this formula for delivery. This is for customers more than 100 miles away. I drew several circles on a map for "zones" just like the UPS folks. 100-250 miles, 1.00 per mile. 251-500 miles, .75 per mile. 501-1000 miles, .45 per mile. Priced one way, of course. I just had a good sized job for N.E. Connecticut and it was 1070 miles one way and the $481.50 paid for a nice vacation as well as I did not have to crate up 6 signs that were: (2) 3'x10', (2) 2'x6' (1) 4'x4' and (1) 3'x3' all sandblasted HDU that require wood crates. I get the actual driving distance off www.mapquest.com to figure the actual delivery price. My next job is in Dallas, TX and one down in the Leeward Islands. (( the wife says I have to ship that one )) But, life is GOOD !!!
