I usually use the heavy duty plastic zip thingies for small signs on chainlink fence material but now I have a customer who wants something more, what is the best method or hardware for that? Thanks!

Brian, we use 1/4"x3/4" stove bolts (when using Dibond)and 2" body washers on the backside behind the chainlink. That's about as tough as it gets.

We've used hog rings in the past. They sell these for use in installing chain link fence or for putting in hog's noses. Roughly c shaped and clinched with a specialized pair of pliers. These are for thin aluminum or sintra signs. For heavier signs usually put a piece of aluminum angle and bolt or screw through.
