Have an opportunity to purhcase a used Summa plotter. It is is pretty good condition (only about 8 months old). A local artist purchased it with the intent of goint to vinyl....then decided not to. What would be a good/fair price for this plotter.

Stu........Summa makes a few different plotters. I bought a brand new Summa D60 about a year ago for about $2000. It's an awesome cutter. As far as how much for a used one, depends on how well it was taken care of and what extras you get with it. You now know what the D60(24") goes for new.

I'd be overstepping my bounds to get involved in your price negotiations. But others might be able to offer a better sense of value if they know which model you're considering. Also, be sure to get a look at the original invoice, or contact our customer service department (sarah.augustine@summadirect.com) with the serial number. Whe it was bought will determine the amount of time left on the warranty. Our tech support - toll-free - is available for life.
Best Regards, and good luck,
