Hey Mates! Got me a job here in Oz!!!! And my Holden Ute!!!
We have a client here in Sydney who wants 6" tall Palatino letters on a wall, and wants it to be halo lighted. We have one sign done already, but the letters are about 15" tall, and they like the look. However the minimum stroke at 6" won't house neon tube. So our designer is wanting to find out if LED is an option? Anyone out there ever use LED to get this effect? Or know enough about it to advise us where to look? Or even use LED in place of neon in small channel letters? Or to backlight translucent digitally printed film, like directional maps and legends? So many questions........
Any help in any direction would be greatly appreciated!
Mate, I just love it here!!! it's winter and I'm in short sleeves today Cheers, JPBill

Just A Thought Fiber optic lighting works very well for small halo letters and you can make the letters or more likely have the letters made as small as 2 to 3 inches and 1/4" thick and dont have to worry about replacing leds theres only one bulb to worry about although installation may be a little more involved not sure have never used LEDS We have used a company US Sign & fabrication and have had great luck.
