The banner has arrived at my place in NJ as of 2PM Monday the 27th. I'll get a few pics of it tonight, sign it tomorrow, and get it out by wednesday morning.

Here is the latest news on "Baby Doll". Mike Clayton has agreed to be the "official" Banner-sitter. He is going to trot her around Jersey for a week or so, then She will ride with him to McCalla. I trust him alot more than a UPS driver!
For those of you who have signed up, but have not had an encounter with "Baby Doll". Don't worry, I'm going to keep her traveling after Duck Soup. As soon as plans change, (and they will!) I'll let you know!

Gee Mike, I have no problem bringing it back and sending it to you after Duck Soup, it's "Coop's" call. He just didn't want the banner to miss the meet, and asked me to hold onto it and transport it, after Bill Reidel gets it, who is also here in N.J.
I will be in Thompson CT at the Speedway the 7th to 9th, if thats not too far from you. I think it's about 20 minutes south of Auburn MA on 395. Maybe we could hook up there?

Hey, Mike, and Coop, after the Duck Soup would be just "ducky". Just didn't want to be left out... While I'm at Mass Mahem, I will line up a few more Letterheads for signatures. Probably try and all meet at someone's shop when I get it. Besides, I would love to see all the new sigs from Duck Soup. Thompson Speedway really isn't that far, but I'll be away that weekend. But thanks for the offer.

I sense some "frustration" in your post. (If I'm wrong about that, please forgive me.)
I'm somewhat frustrated too. This was supposed to be a FUN project for me & a few dozen of my "Letterhead" friends.'Shep, I know you were one of the first 3 or 4 to sign up on this. In hindsight, maybe I should have sent it around based on the date folks signed up and not according to geographical location.
If the banner had not sat in a UPS warehouse for 2+ weeks, stayed a few extra days at this shop, an extra week at this shop, etc...etc.... You would have already signed her and sent her on her way.
For anyone who feels I "left them out", "did a poor job of planning", "screwed this whole thing up". Please accept my sincere apologies. I promise it will not happen again!

Coop, your "sense" is right on.......However i think it was and is a great idea, also I am glad you and not I is the one who is handling the whole thing. In hindsite it appears a lot of people did not realize the urgency of being prompt on the signing and shipping. I guess maybe I am a little dissapointed in not being able to get to sign it....And as far as sending it to the order of signing up .......it would probably haven taken years to criss cross the country.....being shipping as it is.HA Ha I guess also I didnt think when it arrived at a particuler location, that it would travel to all the shops in that particular area before sending it along to the next appointed shop. It was my (apparently wrong)understanding that was the reason to SIGN UP in the first place. If you continue the Banner after the Duck Soup. I would really like to have the chance to add my name to it......even if it is on the back....or edge as the case may be....HEY..did you say that you are going to Auction it off.......That just might be my answer....just kidding.
