Hey 'heads, I sent out flyers with my local supplier yesterday and got a great response, looks like we be fillin' up quick! A couple of FAQ's I guess I should adress: 1) what is the time on this thing? ----all day saturday, I will be there by 9 a.m. and it should go well into the evening
2) where do I send a check? ---- no checks, we're just gonna pass the hat
3) how do I get there? ----I will be sending out directions soon, it's easy off 95
4) is it just for professional pistripers? can I come? -----it's for everyone! THIS IS A SOCIAL EVENT NOT A COMPETITION, come to show off, come to learn, come to have a beer with Cam and Joe, just come!

Ken, You mentioned smalts. Do you have a plan for anything on that subject. I only remember seeing a few items years ago, and would like to produce some unique items with it with proper knowledge. Thanx, Jack

Lets talk food..... The last time I was in New England, several years ago, I found the lobsters great, but...my favorite was a hoagie style sandwich with roast beef and fried oysters layered within. I got it in a place about half way down Cape Cod. Can anyone ID this thing, as I can't wait to get to another one. I have not seen or heard of one since. Diane and I are really in to good foods, so I hope to hear some great suggestions for our trip. We especially like small local spots with specialties. Our tennative plans, are to spend a couple of days in Salem/Boston area, before heading to Cams for a day at Mystic Sea Museum and area, and then on North to Bar Harbor area. We will have 8 days on the ground. Plenty of time to terrorize the neighborhoods. Jack

Hey Jack, I will point you to some good spots for seafood and such, although I have never had the sandwich you speak of many of places will gladly make it for ya. As far as the meet goes, lunch is being provided by Brian's Dad who owns one of those small local spots. I still don't know what he is cookin up but it is sure to be yummy!

Roast beef and fried oyster grinder? That's a new one on me. Jack, while you're here we could go to Abbot's for lobster, or to Kitchen Little for a Portuguese omelet with linguica and chourice. Ummmm.

Hi gang, I mentioned it elsewhere on some post, but not here officially, that me and most likely my partner Dick will be attending. This is only about two hours from us on Cape Cod. When they get that close you HAVE to go! So I'll look forward to catching up with those I know and meeting new faces. See you soon.

Ken, "carpoolin' with any of the other Cape Letterheads?" I didn't know there were any other Cape Letterheads. I did tell a guitar playing sign buddy of mine about the meet today and he expressed mild interest. Since he's not a paint guy he isn't sure what would be in it for him. I told him there were going to be demonstrations on computer stuff too and lots of good will. He's going to think about it.
Which brings up a possible topic for a new thread - Why is it non-participants just assume Letterheads is not for them? Is it perceived as something scary and out of their league? Or that it's only about paint and chisels or about being some kind of design maverick? We might have homework to do in this department.
