Hey 'Heads, I have gotten such a good response from wood carvers, I hope to set up a carver's area at Mass Mayhem! Since I am a neewbie myself at wood carving I am looking forward seeing the chisels working. Let me ask though, what do we need to accomidate, besides some wood and foam? sandpaper, saws, patterns, what?

Ken I will assume most will be doing relief carving therefore a bench or solid surface to mount the work would be fine(just tell em to bring their own c clamps...if it's 3-d work...then access to vises would help...usually a woodcarver has everything he needs to secure the piece...and their own sharpening devices...and then some chairs for those bad backs...
Hope that helps!

My wife and I are thinking about trying to make it, and will let you know very soon. Do you have inside info on the area hotels, etc.? We are attempting to book airline tickets as I type. We love the NE area and will be staying about a week if we come. We have already traveled south from Boston are looking to try North this time. Any suggestions on reasonable accomodations would be appreciated. I hope I have not missed a deadline for signup, As I just saw the post this AM. bronzeo
