Baby doll arrived safe and sound today. What is the final destination and the due date?

hey diane!

get a hold of david cooper. he knows where it goes next. i believe it goes next to someone in new jersey but don't quote me on that.

the only reason i knew to send it to you was i saw it on the list and concerned myself to remembering you guys. figure that was hard enough for me to remember that!

the due date is as fast as you can to get it out. use hardner and low temp reducer in the paint and it will dry fast and hard. that's what i ended up doing.

i tested in and inconspicuous spot first to see if the regular unadulterated one shot would work. it don't very well. just gets to almost dry and stays there. then i remembered how tracy puts hardner in striping paint to make it dry fast and hard.

have fun with it and get it done really fast to get it moving along. if i had know about the paint thing, i probably could have gotten it out a lot faster. now you know!

have a great one!

Has the kitty finished with his yearly shed???? If not, best to keep him away till it dries or baby Doll will have a fuzzy spot!!! On the other hand, that might be cute!!

Hi! Ernie & Diane

I hope all is well with you & yours. Glad to see "Baby Doll" made it to your place safe & sound.

Answers for questions:
#1.)Final resting place for her is on the Auction Block right here, with any and all proceeds going to benefit this site.

#2.)Due date is something I have given up on. UPS decided to keep her for 2 weeks, and she has spent a little more time in a few shops than I thought she should. I want this Banner to be in Alabama on or before SEPT. 14!

From what I can gather, artists using 1SHOT with a little bit of hardener are having good luck with it drying in a reasonable amount of time.

When I started this project back in May, I only had 3 rules:

1.) Keep it moving!
2.) Leave enough space for everyone to sign it ( have some respect )!
3.) HAVE FUN!!

Well, all of these rules have been thrown out the window,so just make sure she gets to "Duck Soup"! PLEASE!?!?

This is just a suggestion, maybe wipe it in the area you will hand letter it with some laquer thinner then apply some enamel coat or one of the enamel receptive agents available, in about 15 minutes it should be ready, or if your going to vinyl it then I wouldn't worry about it. hope to see it at the Duck Soup Meet!

Just to inject an idea from the last time a banner "toured".

How about coffee mugs of this one?
You know... once it's complete take a good pic. and sublimate it to a bunch of mugs (someone around here HAS to have the ability)
sell em on site with procedes to it ... make more than just auctioning it off (how much did the last one go for?)
then everybody can have a keepsake of it too

On Friday,The Baby Doll will be on its way to Mike Clayton at MC Graphics in Barnegat,
NJ. The Jackson Sign signature- the gold paint is still tacky.
This banner is awesome! What talent! That feather in the corner looks so real!

Thanks guys. Feels great to be included in this!

I'll have it to Bill Riedel as soon as it's done, hopefully by midweek, as I probably won't have it until Monday earliest.

Got to keep it moving!

MC

PS: I'll try to get some up to date pics for everyone too.

I like the idea of mugs - but the artwork wouldn't show up that well on such a small space. How about making small posters out of it? The poster could also have some info on the bottom, like when it started, where it ended up, who did the art, etc. the posters would be a real keepsake, suitable for framing, and . . . Since a couple of these banners have been done, posters could end up being a real collectors item! And I know there's a few Letterheads with large format printers out there - maybe one would donate some time.
Just a thought (I know I'd buy one!)
