I have been out of town for about ten days, and I was wondering where the banner is now ?

As far as pics go, the last good set was put up on July 18, by Dave Draper. As far as whereabouts, she is somewhere between Bruce & Dana Bowers'place and Diane & Ernie Balch's. (Both in New York). From there she is supposed to head to New Jersey.
I guess we are having trouble with the enamel receptive coating. Anyone have any ideas? Can we topcoat what has already been done with something?

I'm convinced that the painted graphics need hardner on this banner when painted over the regular material.
As some of you know, we used latex enamel for the splashes we put on the banner, then pinstriped over the latex enamel with 1 Shot with no hardner. That combination dired and was ready to ship in 1 hour.
We are going to get a blank banner this week, coat it entirely with gloss 100% acrylic latex enamel, put my Fall Ball Baseball team graphics on it and see how it holds up in the next two months. As all sport team banners, this will get 10 times the abuse a regular banner would get.
I will be focused on seeing if the constant rolling / unrolling, stretching and left in the car in temperatures that reach 120 inside the car have any effect on the latex coating.
Just an FYI, Edge printed graphics on a banner that is rolled up and left in a car in the hot sun all day will be ruined. The printed graphics go into a dye sublimation process which transfers a reverse image on the surface it is rolled up against, in this case, the back side of the banner. Sometimes the back and the surface have gotten stuck together.
The two sport banners pictured in the August Sign Builder Illustrated Magazine pages 90 and 94 had some of this sublimation transfer damage, but I did get them out of the van into the house before they were totally ruined by the heat build up inside the vehicle.

I had no problems whatsoever. No hardner, just straight one shot, and out the door.
