Had a customer today ask if I could make a picture he has (approx. 8x10) into a poster that he could hang inside. Of course I said, "Sure, I can do that!"
Well, I called the local large format printing place and they said the best resolution they get is 300x300 or something like that.
Anyone know where I can get this done at wholesale costs or if it is possible for me to scan this, put some transparent text on it and have it printed? Thanks!

Amy, 300 x 300 resolution on my NovaCut looks like a picture on the right paper. I have backlit signs that are, you quessed it, picture perfect.

Amy, how big is the 'poster?' that your customer wants?
If it's not too big, perhaps you could invest in a wide format inkjet. Then you could expand your services to include digital image retouching (you got photoshop right?), and image enlargement.
Just a thought!

PS, this is sort of what I have planned in the near future. I've got a few printers in mind, but i'd like to hear some others' suggestions/reccomendations.
