Hi Everyone. Could you of you computer whiz people help me? I have tried to import, open, and everything else I know(which is very little) to use the decorated 035 font from CorelDraw. Could someone tell me how to open that font and then get it into Gerber GA. Thank you guys and gals. Sorry for the miss type. Some nice GUY called and told me about. Well it is Friday afternoon and I hope everyone just laughed and I didn't offend anyone.------------------ Cynthia Pack 246 Diamondview Loop Galax, Va. 24333 540-236-9013 packracingandgraphics@valink.com

Assuming you are using a windows based os here goes,...go to start,...settings,...control panel,...then click on the fonts folder,...click on file menu then install new font,....find the font on the corel cd & select it then click ok,...that should do it.That will install the font into windows where ga can find it.

Hi, Cynthia, It sounds as tho' your Corel font is already installed somewhere, but it may be prorietary to Corel and have a .cdr file extension. If GA is anything like Signlab it may not recognize or accept a.cdr extension. Having said that and assuming this font you want is available in Corel, try this, keeping in mind it may not work. Set up your page size in Corel as near to full size as you can, do your letter layout there, do a "copy" to clipboard and go to GA and "paste". If it still doesn't work, go back to Corel and see if you can take your letter layout and "convert to curves" then do the copy/paste thing again. Also, while you are in Corel, you may be able to "save" your layout with a file extension that GA will recognize. Sorry, no guarantees. Hope this helps.

Hi Cynthia. If you now look at your Gerber 6.21 program, you should find a utillity in there called a TrueType Font Converter. If you open that, and check out the "help" section within that folder, you should be able to convert that font to a Gerber font that your system will recognize. It will also appear in your Gerber Font Menu whenever you go to Enter Text in your Composer Program.
I'd suggest that you convert only those fonts that you'll make extensive and regular use of, since a lot of them in the Font Folder can slow down your system. It's also duplicating what you already have in Corel, but it can be handy to have some of the 'workhorse" ones in your Composer Program and not have to Import & Convert every time.
Hope this helps you .
