Robb, I hope you're being tongue-in-cheek about who's to blame. I don't think it's out of line to expect the product put out by a "professional" sign company to be without mistakes. It's one thing for a place name or person's name to be misspelled, but a word like Sheriff or Integrity? Most of us have spell check on our computers, or at least access to a dictionary. I'd be embarrassed if I were the signmaker. Signed proof or not, it's still the sign shop's reputation at stake.

I was most certainly tongue in cheek. While its true, signmakers are not the worlds best spellers at times - I think its the customers responsiblity to read the proof or information given.
I once did a menu layout for a restaurant, and put $1.95 for the grilled chicken salad and $4.95 for the basic... she had given me the wrong info, then OK'd the proof... hell I didnt care what she charged!
One day she called RAVING mad, said I was going to have to do this all over for FREE. I said uhhh nooooo.... you made the mistake, and I'll make the change in the file for free, but you're going to pay for the menus (heavy stock, laminated). She said "I'll think about it" and never called back.
Did I lose a good customer? No. I lost a bad one. A good customer not only pays, often, but takes responsiblity for their own actions. These sheriff candidates are no different.
