In the middle of a session, I was suddenly unable to add fonts via Control Panel/Fonts. The menu scroll-down no longer includes "Add New Font." The Properties of the Windows/Fonts folder is the only adjustment I can think of, and it doesn't seem to make any difference whether Archive or Read Only are checked or not. It's showing 144 files, but quite a few fonts can't be deleted. I know about Arial, Times, Avant, but Eckman won't delete either.
I have Win95, but this same thing happened recently in Win98 at work, and a techie was able to restore it. So what do I do?
