out of 19mm sintra,..................YOU had to sand and paint them a PMS red, then you got 35' up in the air on a snorkel lift to install it all at the airport and found out he had left out the lower case "i" in "Airport", would YOU holler at him? Well.........I sure did! He makes maybe one mistake like this one per year, but he sure gets on OUR cases when we screw up. Does your husband or dad holler at you when you screw up, but wants to ignore it when THEY screw up? I sure do love him, but he can be an old stinker sometimes!

There's no excuse for that kind of behavior. So much for the dad of the year award. I would cross him off your Christmas list, ignore at least his next two birthdays, and probably shake up his beers real good when he ain't lookin'.
...and hide his guns.

Oh.......me and my big mouth. I just jumped in here because I was so darned mad. I need to learn the same thing I want HIM to have. Patience and understanding. He's mad at himself for this one. I don't like working 35' up and I didn't want to go back, but Latigo says he'll do it for me. And, Jim........I can't hide his firearms. Mine are mixed in with them. And Joe! I just know if you came up here to "dot his I", you'd both end up sitting in the weapons room, sipping wine and telling lies! That's his favorite pastime anyway. I'm cool now. Thanks, guys! :^)

Rosemary,as a young apprentice on a billboard crew I was taught early on that if anyhting was done wrong or missed by accident it was "always" the hired helps fault(me). Then to prove his theory whenever sumone had to climb back up 4 or 5 stories to fix sumthing seems it was always the hired help(me). One of my first bosses in this trade would tell me,..."boy it don't matter what goes wrong on this jobsite it's gonna be your fault,...ya got that?".

Thanks, Timi, I do appreciate the advice, but my dad NEVER blames us. He just storms around and hollers at whoever it is he's been hollering at all these years. I've actually never seen that person, but he must be there or dad wouldn't holler. Gee, Si. I've never smacked him, but I have punched him a few times for being a grouchy old goat at times. He never punches back.......he just grabs me and hugs me. I think you and Dad are a lot alike. No? :^)

Good grief! Slaving away in the recording studio all evening and I come in to find a thread about "hollering at imaginary people", getting punched and everyone in the free world knows I screwed up today!?!?
Are you behind this, Si? Geez! Am I the only one with a kid that posts here? Nothing's sacred. Hmph

Great post Rosemary, I miss my dad and his crazy ways of working his trade (we were both bakers) Tis better to have a father to yell at then not have one at all.
You can vent here anytime, I think I can speak for the majority, as your posts are always enjoyable, kind of like the fruit doesn't fall far from the tree.

That's funny, Ken. That's what everyone who knows us says. Latigo is just like mom and I'm just like dad. I always thought it should have been the other way around. I do play bass, but Lat is waayyyyy out there with his guitar, jazz and R&R. I've always been into firearms and reloading with dad during the winter. Lat really is a good skeet shot, but I did beat him once this summer. Both Lat and I really love the studio. Both studios, but I mean the one in town right now. Dad always keeps everything different and new with the things we do. I'm happy enough, but I wish we had a magic "up in the air installer" thingie.

When I went on location with someone else's work, I checked it out BEFORE I loaded it on the truck. I guess that's one trick to remember for next time. When you find the mistake before it goes out, you can remind them how you saved their BUTT evertime they get cranky at you! Its called blackmail! Use it at EVERY opportunity!
