Since I haven't done this one before I thought I'd ask. I need to do some major painting on some already painted awnings. I figure I'll be doing some 2.5-3.5 foot letters (single color) possibly 15-20 feet long and there are 3 of them. Then I get to do the back block wall that has also been painted.
The only thing I have that even resembles pricing for this type of event is Mark Roberts 1999 price guide (specialty lettering of vertical walls) which suggests a $300 min and for 64 sq ft or less $300, 94 sq ft or less $525 and up to 384 sq ft or less $1325 (well it all less than 384 sq ft so I'll charge the largest LOL...)
Anyway, is this a typical price range I should use? Any help would certainly be appreciated.
PS: I will have to rent some scaffolding on this too!

I get $1 an upright inch per letter here. But the local awning shop has it's own sign shop so all we gotta do is show up & do the labor. As for the wall anything under 100 sq ft is $5 a sq ft,...less for huge prepainted walls.Add to that rigging or lift costs. This may seem kinda low but I can do almost 2000 sq ft of wall work inna week,...you do the math. Its good money if ya know how to do the work in a timely fashion. If not charge accordingly as you should know what your time is worth.
