I was foolin' around with my connect options box in mirc today & found a shortcut for mirc users to get to the new chat channel,... If you click File/options you will get a connect window with a list of servers I scrolled down & just for the heck of it tried webnet:random server,& viola it connected & when I typed /join #letterville I was at the new channel. For alot of you mirc folks who haven't been to chat lately we've been using a new webchat server instead of the old dalnet server. The name of the channel has also changed from #letterheads to #letterville. Until now everyone has tried to give instructions including adding irc.webmaster.com to the list of servers but after this discovery all ya gotta do is scroll down the list to an already listed server (any webnet server) & click on it to connect to #letterville.

About a year ago, we moved from our original chat server to the new webmaster server. At that time we also started using what many call the "green button" chat. This is the easiest way for new people to join in on the fun at Letterville Chat.
I've asked Dave Grundy to rewrite some of the text on the Chat Page. Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for everyone to take part. If any of you have any Chat questions and/or tips, please post them here to help make Dave's job easier.
If there is someone who knows the "green Button" chat inside out, we need to hear from you too. I have a suspicion that some are trying it and getting confused about nicks. Let's teach them how.
