I had a customer ask about vinyl floor signs, which are like the ones that are all over the floors in the computor game sections of stores, such as Toys R Us. They appear to be a laminated peel n stick 4 color plastic poster. The clear laminate on the face of many is very tough to foot traffic, and hold up pretty well for quite a while it appears. Could anyone lead me to a laminate clear that I could seal over a printed edge print or regular vinyl? It is a very exclusive way to advertise for the product producer, but it amazes me that the stores want them stuck all over the floors, as they appear stuck down pretty well. Thanks for any advise on this subject.,,... Jack

We did some for a letterhead a number of months back. We sprayed Pelucid on his digital prints. Pelucid is actually used on floors for a permanent seal. Pelucid sprayed on your digital prints will NOT ripple or curl them. They stay dead flat. Go to www.por15.com to read about it.

Pierre, I have been meaning to try some of the Pelucid. It's abilities sounds much like chipguard that they spray on the lower panel to protect auto finishes around the sills. How about sending me a quart. e-mail me a bill amount and I will forward a check. Bob, I will also look into the Roland product for comparison. Thanks Guys.....

If your interested in the actual EDGE material, contact your local Gerber outlet and ask about “FloorMinders.” For a little information on the product, visit Gerber’s site for FloorMinders.
List price for full kit price @ 30’ is $99.65, 150’ is $419.00. Not sure how much, if available, for just the overlaminate.
Side note; Gerber use to require a contract before selling the material. I don’t believe that is the case anymore, but the Gerber dealer should be up to date. It has been awhile, but I believe part of it was concerning liability issues. Nothing like being one of many in a long line of defendants when someone is injured as a result of the graphics being near them.
