Has anyone else noticed? That if you click on a topic like ( more virus ) then click on a link that leads back to the BB like the one Steve posted for the ( forums ) it opens a window without the blue border menu on the left, then click the link ( Letterhead & Pinhead talk ) @ the top & you get a window to all topics without the blue border..FULL SCREEN...LOVE IT ! Just for kicks, I'm going to pretend that I understand your question...
There's two ways to get to the BB. There's the front door and the rear door. If you have the panel on the left with links, you came in through the front door (by clicking on the bb link from the Letterhead.com homepage.)

But Alan...what's the point? I guess I don't mind the border on the left (it's purple on my screen )or maybe I'm just lazy and don't want to take any more steps from my comfortable chair than I have to in order to read the board.

Thanks Don, I was wondering how to get around the purple strip so I would not have to move the bottom bar. I made a button for backdoor address on my links bar. Debbie

There is no big mystery here. Any frames page contains several different web pages. If you only load the BB frame, you miss all the other links and miss out on cool stuff like stories on past meets, info on new meets, profiles on your Letterhead pals, chat, HeadTV and so much more.
Yes, you will get a slightly bigger screen, but you lose much more. With today's bigger screens, why bother?
Speaking of back doors, where is your shop located in Atlanta Alan? Letterheads in Atlanta are trying to locate you and visit your shop. Since we have no record of your address or phone number, we haven't been able to help. Can you shed some light on this mystery?

For the ultimate in viewing pleasure, here are a few tips.
(these apply to Internet Explorer (IE) )
Whenever you want to open the BBS without the frames, hold down your SHIFT key, and click the link. This will open it in a new window, saving your previous one to be closed, or to access multiple pages. Since I'm on a snail-slow connection, I do this to all the posts I want to read, and then read them in order so by the time I'm done with the first one, they are all loaded and waiting on me instead of the other way around.
Next trick...
Hit your F11 key. This will take IE into full screen or 'kiosk' mode. You can right click on the toolbar and choose 'autohide' for it to roll out of the way for an even larger viewing area. Hitting F11 again will return you to your previous window size.
There are other setup tricks for IE, if anyone cares to hear them.

I don't mind the purple bar on the left of the screen on my 19" monitor at the shop, but on the old 15" at home it makes it too small. So I would like to get rid of it at home. Thanks.
