I have a coustomer he wants a mural for a Church. I will a mural 12'x15', it will have the World as backgrown and a cross on the top of and some lettering around. How much should I charge? any idea! by sq.feet or by the Job. Any help I will apprecite Thanks

You haven't given us one onehundreth the info required to help you with this one. I'm a realistic engraver/painter, and an "old masters" style painting is a long term, detailed execution. If this were within your abilities you wouldn't be asking this question. If you're serious about the question, then give us the whole story.
Ok ok. My daughter just thumped me on the back of the head for being a "grouch". At least tell us how detailed the execution will be...........and if this is New World Order schtuff, overcharge by 1000%

is it gona be an "el fresco" painting or just an acrylic, oil or one shot?...how big and how detailed......now your movin away from sign painting to "fine art"....this gets tricky in the pricing...paintin letters or # on a wall is good for $4-7 sq. ft. doing a mural on the same space with brush or a/b will bump it up to $8-15 a sq.ft. doing a "thrump loie" type painting will run it up to $25-75 a sq. ft. doing a copy of the old masters paintings..can get you in the $75-200 a sq. ft. or you could do it for free like a good parishoner.....or good catholic...this is probably what they ..expect....churches dont make up 1/100 of my sign sales...but i get more calls from them askin prices..and i quote them higher then anyone since i know they are gona shop this job till they get it for free!!! and where i live..theres more churches then fast food places.......not to be mean but in the short list of bad clients..lawerys, real estate, used car dealer, stock car owners, churches are right in there....

10 to 20 dollars a square foot.Depending on what is REALLY involved!! Being my business is my only source for tithing to God.The Churches I do work for realize that they will be cheating God out of what he requires of me.I NEVER have a promblem with Churches OR Race Car Drivers!! hope this helps

Sorry guys, I should have gave more information, The mural it will have alot of detail and realitic , as is in photo, the pain will be acrylic water base, I will use brushes and airbrush, for detail. It will be paint on wood wall. So far is all I know, They will stop some time next weeek to let me know what eles they need. Thaks all of you for your time.
