Hi all. After my Virus (what's the word...) Ordeal? someone suggested I should get a faster modem. I got a used Supra Sonic V.90i, made by diamond technologies, but I understand the company was sold. Does anyone know where I can get information about it?

Thanks!

Diamond was bought by S3, and together they became Sonic Blue.

Diamond's homepage is sorta gone, but the drivers section is still there. You can get drivers for your modem at :

http://www.diamondmm.com/default.asp?menu=support&submenu=drivers

OR

http://www.diamondlegacy.com/products/drivers/driver-index.htm

Not sure if it will be listed by name, but you'll see a little sticker on the biggest chip on your modem, with a model number, like SUP2370 or 2370, etc. Cross reference it on that page and you should be set.

Although Sonic Blue has more or less dedicated themselves to consumer products (MP3 players, etc.) they still make and market the Diamond brand stuff to the OEM and homebuilder market. I've gotta Diamond modem in the office machine and it's always been one of the fastest I've had. For the price versus performance, they are a good choice.

I think it works just fine, especially for the price. I checked in amazon & they wanted $160. for it. I got it for $35!
