I want to do a glass panel like they have had at letterhead meets. I tried using black fin gold back up paint then put on some gold leaf. When I went back to clean up the excess gold what I had screened started to wipe off also. What would be better to use for this?

An air dry epoxy like they use for glassware. Color Mix is one brand. Bronzeo

I paint glass with best aviable alkyd enamel mixed with approx 15 % size.
I have also, with good results(been up 2 years now) painted with latex, then covered the latex with thinned alkyd size.
size will penetrate the latex and bind to the glass
Latex is handy here cause it covers well, dries fast

Contact Rick Glawson at Esoteric Sign Supply or Pete Payne at Canadian Signcrafters Supply. Both will be able to provide you with everything you need and more. Both are knowledgable in the process as well as the materials they sell. Kent Smith is also a walking library on this subject.
