When we were at the show in Atlantic City we saw signs that looked like they were made of wood with a router but were actually perhaps molded plastic? We usually don't get into doing this type of sign but we have a request so I thought I would look into it. Does anyone know what I'm talking about and who does this type of work. Thanks!

The signs you are talking about are resin cast. First, a model sign is created, either routed or sandblasted, then a mold is made from the model. The mold is then cast with a resin, allowing the original model to be duplicated repeatedly. This process is used when a multitude of signs must be produced, as in the instance of signage for a franchised business (like "Fazoli's", for instance). It's not practical for creating one individual sign.

P.S., I've seen stop signs and speed limit signs of this type advertised in Grimco's catalog.
