Hi everyone,

I received the bottle adapters I ordered to fit the Createx paint bottles, but when I tried to use them, they don't fit on my airbrush?? The ends are too big?

I have an Iwata Eclipse SBS Autographics airbrush. It's the one with the side feed. I even emailed Dixie Art before I ordered them to be sure I was ordering the correct item.

Even if they did fit, the bottle would be laying completely sideways. I can't see any way it would be able to draw all of the paint out of the bottle.

I tried using the Search feature because I know a few of you have the same airbrush, but I couldn't find anything.

Does anyone who uses this series of Eclipse use any bottle adapters? If so, please enlighten me on which ones were made for it. I emailed Dixie arts, but I don't suppose they will be getting back to me before Monday, so I'm hoping someone can clue me in before then.

Thanks, have a great weekend!

Randy

You might have gotten a great deal on the bottles. Perhaps you should find the right airbrush to go with them!

Enough of the smart ass remarks, there might be some type of adaptor that will give you more liberty.

Randy,
From the sound of it the bottles you recieved are for the siphon feed Eclipse. Correct me if I'm wrong guys, but I think they only make metal cups for the side mounted types of airbrushes. I've never seen a plastic side mount unless it was the original cup such as the one that comes with the Aztec. You can be assured the bottles will be quite a bit more expensive if you do find them. The ones you have were, I believe, brought about because of the demand of the t-shirt airbrushing business. Most of those guys have as many as 12 brushes in-line at any given time and use a lot of color. They are much easier to clean than the conventional metal top bottles and don't rust when using waterbased paints. The pick-up tube is all one piece as opposed to being separate parts. Being a straight shot throught the tube keeps paint from building up in the crevices, etc. in the two piece models.
Hope this helps, R.T.

RT is correct, the adapters are made for bottom feed airbrushes, the side feed airbrushes are mainly for illustrators using small amounts of ink, or paint, so they only use the small metal cup, not a bottle.
