To us this day was born our first grandchild a baby girl 7lb8ozs to our daughter and her husband both mother and child are ok father we are not so sure about.

Great news, Ian-- and it must be the phase of the moon or something equally cosmic, because my youngest son and his wife presented me with a grandson early this morning. Besides it also being my wife's birthday, there are three more in the family with the 17th as theirs.

My daughter gave me my first TWO grandsons the 20th of May. They were actually due this past Sunday. We took them to the doctor today for a checkup, and all is well.

Congratulations Ian!!! I have a granddaughter (13 yrs. old) and a grandson (2 yrs. old) and like Gail, have found there are a lot of bonuses about being a grandparent. Enjoy the adventure that lies ahead

Thanks for that steve we are as pleased as can be she is a beautiful little girl and has gained 4ozs in here first 4 days on the planet which my wonderful wife (nurse) tells me is good for a newborn.Thanks again Steve
